Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of design and project management principles.
• Ability to read, understand, write and interpret technical documents such as design plans, drawings, schematics and maps.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• No experience necessary but preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Designing plans for residential, commercial or industrial construction projects
• Developing preliminary cost estimates for proposed projects
• Preparing detailed reports on the progress of all projects currently underway
• Inspecting construction sites periodically to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
• Overseeing the ordering of supplies needed for construction activities as well as managing any subcontractors who may be working on a project
