The Chief Investment Officer provides the vision and leadership for all investment activities. You will be responsible for developing long-term investment policies, overseeing a team of portfolio managers or external advisors, and ensuring that the organization's capital is deployed effectively across various asset classes (e.g., equities, fixed income, real estate, and private equity).

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Allocation: Define and execute the strategic and tactical asset allocation to optimize the risk-return profile.
  • Policy Development: Establish the Investment Policy Statement (IPS) and ensure all activities align with organizational goals.
  • Market Research: Monitor global macroeconomic trends, geopolitical shifts, and emerging sectors to identify new opportunities.
  • Risk Mitigation: Implement robust frameworks to monitor market, credit, and liquidity risks.
  • Regulatory Oversight: Ensure all investments comply with local and international regulations (e.g., SEC, local financial authorities).
  • ESG Integration: Increasingly, CIOs are tasked with integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria into the investment process.
3. Operational Leadership
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of investment analysts and portfolio managers.
  • Manager Selection: Oversee the due diligence, selection, and performance review of external fund managers or consultants.
  • Stakeholder Reporting: Present performance reports and economic outlooks to the Board of Directors and the Investment Committee.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Mathematics. MBA or Master's in Finance is highly preferred.

Certifications

CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is typically a mandatory requirement. CAIA or FRM is a plus.

Experience
