Chemical Sales Engineer

The Chemical Sales Engineer is responsible for driving the growth of the client’s chemical solutions portfolio in the Middle East, with a focus on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This remote-based role involves identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and executing strategic sales plans. The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between customers and the client, with a focus on promoting and supporting specialized chemical products such as ZymeFlowUN657, ZymeFlowOS, and Zyme-OxPlus.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to promote the client’s chemical solutions and achieve revenue targets.
- Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities in the chemical and industrial sectors.
- Promote specialized products, including:
- ZymeFlowUN657: Original, versatile decontamination formula that neutralizes pyrophoric materials on contact and completes decontamination within 8–12 hours.
- ZymeFlowOS: Designed for offshore applications, CEFAS and REACH certified, and removes pyrophorics, sulfides, and hydrocarbons.
- Zyme-OxPlus: A hybrid surfactant and oxidizer blend that accelerates the removal of pyrophoric iron sulfide and ammonia.
- Maintain a strong understanding of each product’s technical specifications and effectively communicate benefits to clients.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with existing and potential clients across the GCC region.
- Conduct regular meetings and site visits to understand client needs and tailor offerings accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Business Development and Commercial to forecast sales and align with regional objectives.
- Provide pre‑ and post‑sale technical support and consultation to clients.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
- Support the wider Middle East team’s business development and sales initiatives as needed.
- Maintain full compliance with industry standards and the client’s internal policies.
Working Arrangement
- This is a remote role based in KSA.
- The candidate will work from home and collaborate closely with the client’s regional team and partners, including those based in Khobar.
Qualifications
Mandatory:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
Preferred:
- Strong technical and commercial acumen related to chemical product applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated, results‑driven, and well‑organized
- Capable of building strong relationships with clients and partners
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales or business development role within the chemical industry
- Familiarity with decontamination chemicals and industrial process cleaning is an advantage
- Experience working with offshore or industrial clients in the GCC region is preferred
