Job summary

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center seeks a highly experienced Radiopharmaceutical Scientist with a PhD and 12 years postdoctoral research experience. The role focuses on cyclotron and radiopharmaceutical development, QC/QA compliance, and leadership in cross-disciplinary projects with clinicians and partners.

Candidate should demonstrate research productivity through publications and possess extensive administrative/supervisory experience to guide regulatory and safety aspects

Qualifications

• PhD with strong cyclotron radiopharmaceuticals background.
• Twelve (12) years post doctoral research experience as an independent professional.
• At least five (5) years extensive administrative/supervisory experience.
• Research productivity demonstrated via publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Responsibilities

• Lead research projects with clinicians, academic partners and external CROs.
• Oversee quality control and quality assurance for radiopharmaceuticals per regulatory requirements.
• Develop and validate novel radiolabeled theranostic agents and advance cyclotron technologies.
• Write and review scientific reports and regulatory documentation.

Job description

• Extensive knowledge and experience of the production of cyclotron and reactor radiopharmaceuticals according to the international guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Extensive knowledge and experience of the Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) of radiopharmaceuticals according to international regulatory requirements.
• A good track record of writing and reviewing suitable scientific reports & documentation to fulfill radiopharmaceuticals and radiation protection regulatory requirements.
• Extensive experience in the development and validation of novel radiolabeled theranostic agents through pre-clinical studies, and in cyclotron technology.
• Ability of providing knowledge and guidance in the safety and efficacy of the new radiopharmaceuticals to be used clinically.
• Ability to play a key role in research projects with clinician, academic partners and external contract research and development organizations.

Education required:

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent in scientific discipline with a strong background in cyclotron and radiopharmaceuticals from an accredited university/institution is required.

Years of Experience required:

Twelve (12) years post doctorate research experience as an independent professional with at least five (5) years extensive administrative/supervisory experience is required.

Other Requirements:

Research productivity must be demonstrated in a form of publications in reputable relevant peer reviewed journals.
