ACWA Power is seeking a CCR Operator to monitor and control power generation units from the Central Control Room. You will ensure safe, reliable and efficient plant operation, maintain parameters within limits, and respond to abnormal conditions while coordinating with field operators.
You will operate DCS/SCADA/PLC and other control systems, maintain logs, support start-ups and shut-downs, and ensure HSSE, quality and environmental standards are met.
The CCR Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling plant operations from the Central Control Room to ensure safe reliable and efficient operation of the power generation units The role involves maintaining operational parameters within approved limits responding to operational abnormalities coordinating with field operators and supporting plant production targets while complying with safety quality and environmental standards
Diploma in Engineering or a related Technical Discipline
The role is based in the Central Control Room and involves working in rotating shifts to support 24 7 plant operations The CCR Operator will work closely with Shift Supervisors Field Operators Maintenance Teams and other Operations personnel to ensure safe and reliable plant performance Diploma in Engineering or a related Technical Discipline.Minimum 4 years of experience as a CCR Operator or Control Room Operator in a CCGT Power Plant, Thermal Power Plant, or Water Desalination Plant.Experience operating DCS, SCADA, PLC, and other control systems.Experience in plant start-up, shutdown, troubleshooting, and power generation operations.Strong knowledge of Power Plant operations and processes.Experience with DCS, SCADA, PLC, and other plant control systems.Understanding of plant equipment, operating procedures, and safety requirements.Knowledge of troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.Awareness of HSSE and Quality Management Systems.Ability to interpret trends, alarms, and plant operating data.Good planning, coordination, and communication skills.Teamwork and collaboration abilities.Good report writing and shift handover skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and plant operating systems.Experience in large-scale CCGT power plants.Exposure to outage management and plant performance optimization.Experience working in an Independent Power Project (IPP) environment.
