Job summary

CoorB in Saudi Arabia seeks a BI Developer to support, enhance, migrate, and build BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and analytical datasets across the current and target architecture.

You will work with Power BI, OBIEE, Cognos, Tableau, and Qlik, optimize performance, implement row-level security, and collaborate with ETL developers, data modelers, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted analytics.

OUR OPPORTUNITY

The BI Developer is responsible for supporting, enhancing, migrating, and building BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and analytical datasets across the current and target architecture.

YOU WILL

• Support existing BI platforms such as OBIEE, Cognos, Power BI, cubes, or operational dashboards.
• Analyze existing report logic, filters, KPIs, calculations, joins, and security rules.
• Develop new dashboards and reports in the target BI platform.
• Rebuild or migrate legacy reports into the future-state BI environment.
• Build semantic models, calculated measures, KPIs, and reusable datasets.
• Validate migrated reports against existing reports to ensure accuracy.
• Optimize dashboard performance, refresh schedules, and query efficiency.
• Implement row-level security, access controls, and business domain-based reporting access.
• Work with ETL Developers and Data Modelers to ensure data readiness.
• Support report decommissioning once migrated reports are validated and approved.
• Work with the Data Architect, Technical Data Lead, Business Analysts, ETL Developers, BI Developers, Platform Admin, and business stakeholders.
• Support architecture transition activities by ensuring that current-state logic is understood before it is migrated, simplified, or retired.

REQUIREMENTS

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU NEED

• Strong experience in Power BI and/or enterprise BI tools such as OBIEE, Cognos, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with semantic models, DAX, MDX, measures, KPIs, and calculated fields.
• Understanding of star schemas, facts, dimensions, aggregates, and reporting marts.
• Experience in report migration, reconciliation, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of BI security and access control.
