Unilever is seeking an Electrical & Automation Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation of factory electrical, instrumentation and automation systems. You will deliver preventive maintenance, diagnose faults quickly, and support upgrades and new technologies across packaging lines and process plants.

The role requires 3–5 years hands-on electrical and automation experience, with a Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics, Instrumentation or Automation; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred for

Qualifications

• Strong safety mindset and problem-solving ability.
• Practical ability to program PLCs and modify HMI/SCADA.
• Ability to read P&IDs and electrical drawings, troubleshoot automation breakdowns.

Responsabilités

• Record equipment usage, parts replacement and scheduled maintenance; provide status reports on automation systems.
• Support installation, commissioning and upgrades of equipment; assist Projects Engineering with new technologies.
• Coordinate with Production, Process Engineering, Safety, Quality, Innovation and Projects teams to resolve electrical, instrumentation and automation issues.
• Design, program and implement automation improvements for packaging lines and process plants; maintain documentation.
• Troubleshoot PLC-based systems, I/O modules, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs and servo systems; ensure calibration of instruments.
• Apply electrical safety requirements including LOTO, isolation and validating absence of voltage.
