Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Assistant Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in external audit, extensive technical knowledge of auditing standards, and proven leadership capabilities. This role involves overseeing multiple audit engagements, managing client relationships, reviewing audit work, and ensuring high-quality outcomes in compliance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee multiple audit engagements from planning through to completion.
  • Develop and review risk-based audit procedures, ensuring compliance with IFRS and ISA standards.
  • Review financial statements and audit reports, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop audit teams, providing guidance and performance feedback.
  • Monitor engagement budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, addressing audit findings and providing recommendations.
  • Support partners in business development activities and proposals.
  • Ensure effective use of audit software (e.g., CaseWare) and continuous improvement of audit methodologies.
  • Stay updated on auditing regulations, accounting standards, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 9 years of external audit experience with one of the Big 10 firms.
  • Professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA) preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
  • Proven ability to manage and review complex audits.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in supervising and developing audit teams.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of CaseWare is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
