Mace is seeking an Associate Construction Director to lead night-shift delivery on a major stadium programme in Riyadh. You will guide civil, structural and superstructure works, coordinating multiple packages and contractors to meet the programme, safety and quality targets.

The role demands senior leadership, a strong contractor-management background, and experience with large-scale venues or major projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East.

Qualificações

• Degree or equivalent in construction management, civil engineering or related built-environment discipline.
• Professional membership or chartership would be advantageous.
• Significant senior construction management experience at Associate Director level.
• Extensive leadership on major, complex projects or programmes.
• Strong background in civil, structural, superstructure and major building construction.
• Proven experience leading multiple contractors, packages and work fronts.
• Experience from main contractor environment; PMC/client-side experience relevant.
• Knowledge of construction methodology, sequencing, temporary works, logistics and site interfaces.

• Leadership presence to challenge contractors and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience delivering major stadiums or large-scale venues; Middle East experience advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate complex interfaces between contractors, construction packages and the wider project delivery team.
• Identify critical construction, programme, sequencing and interface risks and ensure mitigation or escalation.
• Lead resolution of significant site issues and make informed construction decisions during night operations.
• Challenge contractors on productivity, sequencing, safety, quality and overall construction performance.
• Ensure robust reporting, shift records, construction logs and handovers are maintained across the night operation.
• Provide clear escalation and reporting to senior project and construction leadership.
• Ensure effective handover and alignment between night and day-shift construction teams.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, quality and site management.
• Support programme-wide construction planning, sequencing and delivery strategies.

The Project

This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.

Mace is seeking experienced Associate Construction Directors to join the delivery team on a major, high-profile stadium programme in Riyadh.

These are senior site leadership positions with responsibility for overseeing construction delivery during the night shift, providing leadership to the wider construction management team and ensuring contractors are delivering safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme requirements.

The roles will initially have a strong focus on civil, structural and superstructure works, requiring individuals with significant major-project construction experience and the ability to lead complex site operations across multiple work fronts and packages.

The night-shift arrangement is expected to operate for a minimum of approximately 18 months, with six nights worked per week during each six-week rotation.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

You’ll Need To Have

• Degree or equivalent qualification in construction management, civil engineering or a related built-environment discipline.
• Relevant professional membership or chartership would be advantageous.
• Significant senior construction management experience appropriate to an Associate Director-level position.
• Extensive construction leadership experience on major, complex projects or programmes.
• Strong background in civil, structural, superstructure and major building construction.
• Proven experience leading construction teams and overseeing multiple contractors, packages and work fronts.
• Ideally developed through a main contractor environment, with significant practical site delivery experience. Candidates who have subsequently moved into PMC or client-side delivery would be particularly relevant.
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing, temporary works, logistics and site interfaces.
• Demonstrable experience managing contractor performance and resolving complex construction issues.
• Comfortable operating with significant autonomy and making senior-level decisions during night operations.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to challenge contractors and influence senior project stakeholders.
• Experience delivering major stadiums, large-scale venues or similarly complex building programmes would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Experience working within Saudi Arabia or the wider Middle East would be advantageous.
