Job summary

EY is seeking an Assistant Manager/Manager with strong AI and Generative AI expertise to design, develop, and implement AI architectures for diverse client use cases in Saudi Arabia. The role requires leading workstreams, managing teams, and delivering enterprise AI solutions with governance and reliability.

You will leverage large language models, RAG, and vector databases, while ensuring responsible AI, privacy, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Typically 6-12 years of relevant experience in AI, ML, data, analytics, software engineering, or technology consulting, with level dependent on depth and breadth of experience.
• Proven experience leading design, development, testing, and deployment of AI and Generative AI solutions.

We are seeking an Assistant Manager / Manager with strong experience in AI and Generative AI technologies to lead the design, development, and implementation of AI architectures and technical solutions that enable business use cases. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise across machine learning, Generative AI, natural language processing, cloud platforms, and modern AI deployment approaches with proven experience leading workstreams, managing teams, and delivering AI solutions within complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of AI and Generative AI solutions that address client business challenges and support digital transformation initiatives.
• Own the development of AI architectures, technical designs, and deployment approaches aligned with client requirements and industry-leading practices.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to identify, assess, prioritize, and shape AI use cases and business opportunities.
• Develop and integrate AI applications using large language models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, vector databases, and agentic architectures.
• Configure, customize, and deploy pretrained AI models and transformer-based solutions for content generation, summarization, information retrieval, conceptual querying, and conversational AI.
• Assess client data platforms, applications, and processes to identify AI integration opportunities and recommend technical improvements.
• Oversee the development of proofs of concept, pilots, and production-ready AI solutions, including planning, testing, deployment, and quality assurance activities.
• Ensure responsible AI, governance, privacy, security, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance requirements are addressed throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Guide model evaluation, validation, monitoring, performance optimization, and prompt refinement, reviewing outputs and resolving delivery risks.
• Review and approve technical documentation, solution architecture diagrams, implementation plans, client presentations, and delivery status updates.
• Manage client stakeholders and project teams to drive successful implementation, knowledge transfer, adoption, and measurable value from AI solutions.
• Lead, coach, and review the work of consultants and senior consultants, providing clear direction and supporting their professional development.
• Manage engagement scope, delivery plans, resourcing, budgets, dependencies, risks, and escalations in coordination with engagement leadership.
• Contribute to proposals, solution shaping, effort estimation, client workshops, and business development activities for AI and Generative AI opportunities.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, and translate relevant insights into client propositions, project delivery, and internal capability development.

Technical Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with software development practices; exposure to R or Java is beneficial.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience with Generative AI technologies, including large language models, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector search, and model orchestration frameworks.
• Familiarity with NLP techniques and transformer-based architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including cloud-based AI services and deployment patterns.
• Experience with data and analytics technologies such as SQL, Apache Spark, data pipelines, and data integration concepts.
• Understanding of MLOps and LLMOps practices, including model deployment, versioning, monitoring, evaluation, and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with API integration, microservices, and enterprise application integration patterns.
• Exposure to platforms and services such as Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Azure AI services, or equivalent technologies is advantageous.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent platforms is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, commercial, documentation, presentation, and executive communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and build trusted relationships in client-facing environments.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, budgets, timelines, risks, and team performance while maintaining high-quality delivery.
• Professional certifications in cloud, AI, machine learning, data engineering, project management, or related technologies are advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• Large language models and foundation models, including OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Llama, Qwen, Claude, Gemini, or equivalent technologies.
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation and enterprise knowledge assistants.
• AI agents, agentic workflows, and orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel.
• Vector databases and search technologies such as Azure AI Search, Elasticsearch, Pinecone, Weaviate, or equivalent platforms.
• MLOps, LLMOps, model evaluation, observability, and AI security controls.
• Enterprise AI platforms, responsible AI principles, and AI governance frameworks.
• Solution architecture, technical design documentation, Agile delivery, and client demonstrations.
