Job summary

H&P is seeking an Assistant Driller to support the Driller, supervise the rig crew, and ensure compliance with company and KCA DEUTAG safety standards during drilling and tripping operations.

This role demands a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory drilling capacity, IWCF Well Control Certification (or equivalent), and Banksman/Slinger certification. Excellent leadership, communication and ability to mentor multinational crews are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role within drilling operations.
• IWCF Well Control Certification (Wellsharp) required.
• Banksman/Slinger certificate required.
• Excellent oral and written communication with multinational crews.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and takes part in rig site cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Maintains drilling tools and equipment.
• Supervises and helps the drilling crew to prepare equipment.
• Oversees rig moves and loading of equipment under Tool Pusher/Driller.
• Ensures correct storage and maintenance of drilling equipment.
• Repaces the Driller as needed during certain operations.
• Inspects derrick/mast equipment and records defects for correction.
