Job summary

Prince Mohammed University’s College of Medicine seeks an Associate/Full Professor to advance teaching, research, and governance efforts within the medical education program.

The role involves delivering lectures and laboratory sessions, developing curriculum, and mentoring faculty and students while contributing to accreditation and peer-reviewed research across disciplines.

Qualifications

• PhD in Organic Chemistry or Biochemistry required.
• Three years of teaching experience in medical education with research publications.
• Experience teaching in a medical school curriculum desirable.
• Excellent command of English.
• Familiar with technology-infused academic environments.
• Ability to promote active learning and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures, labs, assessments, and curriculum development.
• Advise students and participate in departmental accreditation and quality assurance activities.
• Attend and contribute to monthly faculty meetings.
• Lead or contribute to projects within working groups (communication, case presentation, clinical reasoning, ethics, mentoring, evaluation).
• Contribute to academy faculty development sessions and retreats as needed.

Job description

The College of Medicine at the Prince Mohammed University is committed to delivering the highest quality medical education across the country

The primary purpose of this position is to contribute to the learning and teaching research governance and service agenda of the College

Responsibilities

• preparing and delivering lectures laboratory sessions assessments curriculum development student advising and participating in departmental research accreditation and quality assurance activities
• Prepare for attend and participate in monthly faculty meetings
• Work on projects within at least one working group such as communication skills write-up oral case presentation and clinical reasoning professionalism and ethics mentoring feedback and evaluation
• Participate in and facilitate academy faculty development sessions and retreats which occur periodically throughout the year as needed

Qualifications

A terminal doctoral degree (PhD) in Organic Chemistry/Biochemistry is required. Including the flexibility to teach across multiple disciplines, expertise in the use of technology and active learning instruction.

Three (3) years of relevant teaching experience in medical education with good research experience related including publications in international Journals and Conferences.

Previous experience teaching in a medical school curriculum is highly desirable.

Candidates are expected to have excellent command of the English Language.

Candidates should be familiar with technology infused academic environments.
