Job summary

Morson Edge in Taif, Saudi Arabia, is seeking an Armament Operator to support Typhoon aircraft maintenance under a 6-month rolling contract. The role covers scheduled weapons maintenance, documentation, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

You will join a structured, safety-critical military aviation team, working 48 hours per week from Sunday to Thursday, with accommodation and flights included where applicable. Experience on fast jet platforms and strong discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years post-qualification experience in operational aircraft maintenance.
• Experience on military or fast-jet aircraft; Typhoon experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to follow technical documentation and ensure airworthiness.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Effective communication and teamwork in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled weapons maintenance on Typhoon aircraft
• Disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and minor rectification
• Ensure work meets airworthiness standards and quality requirements
• Work with technical orders, publications, and quality systems
• Complete maintenance documentation, records, and forms
• Maintain valid authorisations for all tasks

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Armament Operator to support maintenance operations on Typhoon aircraft within a highly regulated military aviation environment. Working as part of a skilled team, you will carry out scheduled weapons maintenance activities, ensuring all work is completed in line with approved technical data, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. This role offers the chance to work on a world-class combat aircraft platform while developing your technical expertise in a dynamic operational setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled weapons maintenance on Typhoon aircraft
• Perform tasks including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and minor rectification
• Ensure all work is completed to the required quality and airworthiness standards
• Work in accordance with approved technical orders, publications, and quality systems
• Accurately complete maintenance documentation, records, and forms
• Maintain valid authorisations for all tasks undertaken
• Identify and report training needs or skill gaps to supervision
• Ensure all mandatory training is completed and remains in date
• Support team operations and carry out additional duties as required by management

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in an operational aircraft maintenance environment
• Experience working on military or fast jet aircraft (Typhoon experience advantageous)
• Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and quality standards
• Ability to work in accordance with technical documentation and regulatory requirements
• Good attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship
• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
• Equivalent military qualifications will also be considered
