Job summary

MEPCSA Ltd in Riyadh seeks a depot level MRO engineer to lead engine overhaul activities and develop new MRO capabilities in collaboration with production operations.

The role requires deep knowledge of aircraft engine MRO processes, GD&T, and CAD tools, with a minimum of 10 years of depot-level MRO experience on AGT1500 or similar engines. You will mentor technicians and drive CIP improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as depot level MRO engineer in aircraft engines; AGT1500 experience preferred.
  • Optional: 10 years as manufacturing engineer in aircraft engines, gas turbine or turbomachinery.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update job routers, detailed work instructions and BOM based on TOs or shop manuals for all MRO activities.
  • Develop new processes, specify tools, consumables, test equipment and assist in training for new engine lines.
  • Support concession activities for OEM and perform engineering review of nonconforming materials.
  • Work with relevant staff to eliminate root causes in MRO development and production; liaise with OEM as needed.
  • Review warranty claims and prepare investigation reports on root cause and corrective actions.
  • Participate in CIP to improve quality, turnaround time and cost of MRO processes.
  • Cary out unscheduled tasks and other duties as assigned.

Job description

  • Provide technical support to solve the technical issues encountered during maintenance, overhaul & repair (MRO) activities of assigned engine lines.
  • Develop new MRO capabilities in cooperation with production operations and relevant functional organizations.
  • Ability to perform depot-level training on disassembly & assembly and inspection activities for technicians.
  • Develop engine part and component repair according to MEPC capability.
Responsibilities:
  • Create and update the job routers, detailed work instructions and bill of material based on military TOs or commercial shop manuals for all MRO shop floor activities.
  • Develop new processes, specify tools, consumables, test equipment and assist in the training for the MRO of new engine lines
  • Support concession activities for OEM and perform engineering review of rejected nonconforming materials
  • Works closely with the relevant employees to eliminate root causes to problems in the MRO development and production processes and liaise with the OEM where appropriate.
  • Review warranty claims and issue investigation reports on the root cause and corrective actions of assigned engine lines.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement program (CIP) for improvement in quality, turnaround time and cost of MRO processes
  • Carries out unscheduled tasks and other duties assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
Experience:

Required:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as depot level MRO engineer in the aircraft engines industries. (AGT1500) Engine MRO engineering experience is preferred

Optional:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as manufacturing engineer in the aircraft engines, gas turbine and/or turbomachinery industries.
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
  • Proficient in Interpretation of Engineering Drawings and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing Standard (ASME Y14.5)
  • A detailed knowledge and practical experience of the engineering and manufacturing processes planning.
  • A strong product and MRO process technical background gained from the aircraft engine MRO or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with CAD programs a plus.
  • Must have analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills and be able to perform multi-tasking.
  • Project management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Possess a positive can do attitude, self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure and take on new challenges
