EV Lead Engineer JLR (m / w / d)

Fulltime : 40 hours

Unlimited contract

Acting as technical lead for Reman BEV / PHEV Batteries, liaising with several business functions (Aftermarket Purchasing, Engineering, STA) and Suppliers, to deliver a quality Reman part, approved by all key stakeholders, on-time and to budget. The Reman Engineer will be considered as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Reman BEV / PHEV Battery Engineering.

The EV – PHEV Support is to enhance the Reman ‘product portfolio’ by defining and delivering engineering support for BEV / PHEV Batteries, increasing Reman revenue & profit, and return substantial warranty cost savings to JLR.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaise with Reman development team
  • Collate and review new product warranty data and failure modes
  • Manage / deliver the engineering activity for Reman programs
  • Supplier process controls including SCSS / FMEA’s / EOL testing etc.
  • Co-ordinate with Commodity Engineers
  • Advise 'Best Practice' for process solutions
  • Define Quality Processes for Reman
  • Support STA to develop Reman supplier capability
  • Understand latest Reman technologies
  • Deliver trainings or training materials for Technical Support teams
  • Liaise with Technical Support teams regarding orders placed at the EV Hubs

ROLE

  • Act as Project Lead EV Battery Hub (Europe and Central)
  • Ensure interaction with Engineering (Central)
  • Work with European aftermarket support team
  • Have close collaboration with (EV) suppliers
  • Work with JLR Aftermarket Purchasing and STA

Qualifications

  • High Voltage trained / certified (highest level)
  • JLR Product (esp. iPace) & System Knowledge
  • Completion of JLR EVSAP learner journey
  • Location : Essen (hybrid working)
  • Travel to NL (2 / month), to Stuttgart (from mid-26), to UK (JLR Global / Engineering)
  • English is MUST (German / Dutch as plus)
  • Good organisational skills
  • Critical mindset to review and optimise processes and documentation
  • Start : 1.1.2026 (or 1.12.2025)
