Overview

Director, Operational Deals (Integration & Separation) – Interpath. Location: Munich or Frankfurt or Dusseldorf.

Since its foundation in 2021, Interpath has grown rapidly with a presence across multiple regions. Interpath launched in Germany in January 2025, and the German business focuses on delivering advisory services across Restructuring, Debt Advisory, Deals and Value Creation.

As a Director in the Integration & Separation team, you will work with experienced colleagues to deliver multi-stakeholder, international and domestic pre- and post-deal advisory engagements while raising Interpath’s profile as a premier provider of Deals and Value Creation advisory services.

The successful candidate will contribute to client-facing teams and deliver a diverse range of projects including sell-side and buy-side operational due diligence, pre- and post-deal carve-out, integration, operational value creation, performance improvement, cost optimization and Target Operating Models. You will support companies undergoing transformation and directly impact their future success and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams to deliver pre- and post-acquisition workstreams for leading private equity-owned companies and corporates to ensure deal targets are achieved
  • Lead workstreams including post-merger integration/separation projects, performance improvement, cost reduction, revenue enhancement, Day-1 readiness and 100-day planning
  • Create and execute robust methodologies to ensure clarity, ownership, and delivery to tight timescales while mitigating risks
  • Deliver across operational areas including sales, manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics and purchasing
  • Guide stakeholders ensuring effective communication on key project milestones and deliverables
  • Build and develop networks across private equity and corporates to identify opportunities and deliver tailored solutions
  • Coach and mentor junior colleagues to support their professional growth
  • Proven experience in selling, diagnosing, and delivering performance improvement consulting projects, pre- and post-deal
  • Expertise in delivering operational value creation, improvement or transformation mandates
  • Strong financial and operational analytical skills with ability to build complex financial models and operational methodologies
  • Strong academic record with experience at a leading advisory firm, a Big 4 firm or in a company undergoing significant deals transformation
  • Native or business-fluent German & English (C1) is essential; additional European languages are highly desirable
  • Professional, with the ability to engage effectively with clients in high-pressure situations
  • Flexibility to travel when required for client engagements
