Director, Operational Deals (Integration & Separation)

Interpath is an international, fast‑growing advisory business with deep expertise across deals, advisory, and restructuring capabilities. The German business launched in January 2025 offers a unique opportunity to join a new team within an established global firm.

Location: Munich, Frankfurt or Düsseldorf. Language: German & English (C1). Travel: Flexible when required for client engagements.

As Director, you will lead multi‑stakeholder, international and domestic pre‑ and post‑deal advisory engagements, raising Interpath’s profile as a premier provider of Deals and Value Creation advisory services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams to deliver pre‑ and post‑acquisition workstreams for leading private equity‑owned companies and corporates, ensuring deal targets are achieved.
  • Drive post‑merger integration / separation projects, performance improvement, cost reduction, revenue enhancement, Day‑1 readiness and 100‑day planning.
  • Create, develop, and execute robust methodologies to ensure clarity, ownership, and delivery within tight timelines and mitigate risks.
  • Manage operational delivery across business areas including sales, manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics, and purchasing.
  • Guide stakeholders and ensure effective communication on key project milestones and deliverables.
  • Build and develop strong networks across private equity and corporates, identifying opportunities to assist clients and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Coach and mentor junior colleagues, contributing to their professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in delivering performance improvement consulting projects, pre‑ and post‑deal.
  • Expertise in operational value creation, improvement, or transformation mandates.
  • Strong financial and operational analytical skills; ability to conduct deep‑dive analysis and build complex financial models and operational methodologies.
  • Solid academic record and prior experience at a leading advisory firm, a Big 4, or a company undergoing significant deal‑transformation activities.
  • Native or business‑fluent German & English (C1); additional European languages highly desirable.
  • Professional ability to engage effectively with clients in high‑pressure situations.
  • Flexibility to travel for client engagements.
