OECHSLER, with over 150 years of history, is a global leader in the plastics industry, employing around 1,300 staff in Germany and 2,500 worldwide. We are seeking a Head of Electronic Development at our Ansbach location.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a hardware and software development team, including testing
• Participate in agile project management, cost estimation, and proposal development
• Plan team resources and development
• Develop team members’ skills
• Ensure quality of technical and formal work products
• Contribute to product costing, especially PCBA
• Identify and execute strategic pre-development initiatives
• Communicate with clients and suppliers
• Optimize existing processes and systems

Qualifications:

• Technical degree in IT, electrical engineering, or related field, or experienced technician
• Several years of experience in system, software, or hardware development
• Strong knowledge of system engineering
• Proficiency in agile project management (Scrum)
• Experience with development processes like Automotive SPICE
• Familiarity with ALM tools such as Polarion, JIRA
• Leadership experience
• Optional: experience with functional safety standards like ISO 26262
• English skills at B2 level
