Job Description

We are seeking a (Senior) Legal Counsel - Business Partner Legal Commercial (m/w/d) to join our global Legal & IP-Team. As a legal counselor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, business-oriented legal advice to our worldwide and rapidly growing vegetable seed business.

The role is offered as a full-time, permanent position, and the work location is Berlin or our headquarters in Einbeck.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, solution-oriented advice on legal matters, particularly for our worldwide and expanding vegetable seed business unit
• Manage and coordinate civil proceedings and administrative procedures
• Act as a trusted sparring partner for the business in identifying new business opportunities and structuring marketing models in a legally sound and pragmatic way with a strong economic focus
• Provide legal support for M&A transactions
• Be a member and organize Company Boards
• Support the development and introduction of standard contracts, templates, model clauses, and document management, as well as know-how and license management
• Manage and coordinate external legal advisors

Requirements:

• Fully qualified lawyer or equivalent foreign degree
• Extensive experience in commercial law in a globally operating industry environment
• Ability to provide legally sound and pragmatic advice
• High degree of mobility and flexibility
• Excellent customer focus and entrepreneurial mindset
• Excellent communication skills with different target groups and hierarchy levels
• Team player with independent working style and social competence
• Fluent English skills, written and spoken; Portuguese and/or Spanish skills are an advantage
