Commissioning Regional Lead - Germany / France / Austria / Italy

We’re looking for a Commissioning Regional Lead to join our client's team, delivering high-performance MEP solutions for mission-critical facilities across Europe. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring operational readiness, driving excellence through all phases of commissioning, and managing high-performing teams to deliver predictable, high-quality outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality and commissioning teams across multiple European projects, primarily within the mission-critical sector.
• Ensure projects meet agreed specifications and timelines, minimizing risk and ensuring consistent delivery for our clients.
• Oversee the implementation of project-specific quality and commissioning (QCx) procedures, aligning with both global and regional business unit (GBU & RBU) standards.
• Uphold and enforce all health and safety policies, especially in relation to Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), Control of Hazardous Energy (COHE), Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), and safe energization procedures.
• Guide project teams through technical validation processes, developing commissioning strategies and aligning stakeholders from design through to completion.
• Collaborate with global subject matter experts to apply best practices and technical standards consistently.
• Support behavioural-based quality initiatives, such as “right first time” workshops and project leadership engagement.
• Provide structured and timely project updates, highlighting commissioning progress and any associated risks to GBU and RBU leadership.
• Actively manage project risk mitigation strategies and drive resolution of completion obstacles.
• Partner with talent acquisition teams to fill commissioning-related roles, ensuring alignment of team capabilities with project requirements.
• Identify skill gaps and coordinate with third-party specialists (e.g., SAP/AP, load testing, thermography) where necessary.
• Implement lean management principles across all project phases.
• Collaborate with the Completions & Handover Senior Manager to ensure early-stage planning supports smooth, iterative handovers.
• Onboard quality and commissioning staff with clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
• Develop and manage essential project documentation including quality and commissioning plans, load bank strategies, and monitoring protocols.
• Conduct regular site visits based on project phase to provide targeted support and oversight.

Requirements

• Trade or degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline with 10+ years' direct commissioning experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing commissioning teams across large-scale MEP projects.
• Strong background in installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex industrial/commercial MEP systems.
• Outstanding project management skills, with the ability to drive performance across diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
