Responsibilities
- Design and implement cost-effective and high-quality distribution center operations and logistics services
- Recruit, develop, and build a high-performing team while establishing the organizational structure for the new distribution center
- Identify and integrate industry best practices into the distribution center’s core processes
- Plan, organize, and execute daily operations to achieve distribution center objectives
- Proactively drive process improvements to optimize workflows within the center
- Oversee all activities from goods receiving to picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring top service levels and adherence to Weber’s brand standards
- Analyze and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enable data-driven decisions and continuous improvement
- Manage the distribution center budget with a focus on cost-efficiency and value creation
- Actively contribute to initiatives that support Weber’s growth and strategic goals
- Collaborate with senior management to achieve company targets and objectives
- Ensure team members and partners are well-trained and equipped to execute their responsibilities effectively
- Guarantee that all distribution activities comply with Health & Safety standards and regulations
- Resolve operational challenges promptly to minimize disruptions to the supply chain
- Utilize advanced logistics tools and technologies to enhance overall distribution efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in driving Distribution responsibility
- Experience in building and implementing warehousing processes
- Success in managing large teams
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain and distribution best practices
- Open-minded and oriented toward continuous improvement and innovation
- Hands on approach and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Fluent in English and German, with excellent communication abilities
- Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP system)
- SAP know-how and experience in leading seasonal business is an advantage in this role
