Location(s): Darmstadt, Germany (Hybrid role)

We are currently seeking a Senior Regional Business Partner to join our HR team in Darmstadt:

Key Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for providing strategic HR support to our A&N organization in Germany while managing day-to-day operational tasks, fostering positive relations with the workers council, and ensuring alignment with global HR initiatives. The position requires a broad understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations, along with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with employees, managers, and senior leadership.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Workers' Council Relations

  • German Workers Council negotiations, facilitating meetings and discussions with the German workers' council to address workplace issues.
  • Facilitating with German workers council meetings during the collective bargaining process supporting the negotiation employment terms and conditions.
  • Conciliation and mediation to bring matters to a successful delivery.

Regional execution and implementation of global projects:

  • Collaborate with the Global HR team to support delivery of corporate and functional People initiatives into regional impact (e.g. Employee Engagement, Wellbeing, Benefits, and Reward & Recognition)
  • Support Local & Global People Partner in executing various projects such as talent reviews, performance management, and organizational changes.

Taking responsibility for supporting managers and employees in the DACH and EMEA region, mainly in Germany:

  • Build a deep understanding of the business to foster productive relationships with internal stakeholders and clients at all organizational levels.
  • Foster a coaching culture between managers and individuals, embedding performance coaching into everyday work practices.
  • Provide guidance to managers on employee relations matters.
  • Resolving disputes or conflicts between employees and management, in coordination with the workers’ council. Support in disciplinary and grievance procedures.

Ensure that HR policies, procedures, and practices adhere to both German labor laws and collective bargaining agreements. Provide guidance to management on labor law compliance, especially as it relates to the workers’ council whilst maintaining Company standards.

Employ a data-centric approach to identify and manage critical metrics and analytics, challenging and enhancing people management processes and overall business effectiveness.

Actively participate in and support ad hoc projects, whether on a global or regional scale, as the need arises.

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following skills and competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of German HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining effective relationships with senior leaders and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, coupled with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
  • Familiarity with Workday for talent management, performance management, and analytics.
  • Proficiency in German and English (written and verbally)

Experience required

  • Several years of HR experience in Germany (& DACH an advantage), with a proven track record as an experience HR Generalist preferably in the technology industry or similarly fast-paced, innovative sector.
  • Experience supporting GTM (sales) business units an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience with HR metrics and data-led decision making.
  • Experience in a global organization or a complex, matrixed environment is highly desirable.

Education required

  • Relevant degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
