Business Line Manager at Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is a leading provider of cryogenic pumps, heat exchangers, process systems, turboexpanders, services, and solutions for the LNG, LH2, and industrial gases industries. Nikkiso Fueling & Solutions are equipment providers independent of the molecule, here to adapt decades of expertise to a wide range of hydrogen project challenges. Nikkiso Fueling & Solutions also offer Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) capabilities and turnkey solutions in-house as well as full aftermarket and services support for our own and other OEM equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to Nikkiso Fueling Solutions (NFS) Commercial and Operations teams in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA)
  • Manage P&L within the region
  • Establish and manage budgets and forecasts
  • Promote and employ customer focus throughout the organization to nurture and strengthen customer relationships and loyalty
  • Relay market intelligence related to technology, economy, regulations, competition, etc., to NFS management
  • Ensure Business Review Meetings are held regularly with full transparency regarding current and planned future states of both commercial and operations teams

The Business Line Manager will be not only responsible mainly for sales and marketing of Nikkiso Fueling Solutions in EMEA, but also work with a diverse team across departments, including a commercial team (inside proposal managers and outside business development managers) and an operations team (project management, engineering, and projection teams). This role requires a dynamic leader with excellent commercial and operational acumen.

The incumbent will ensure sales targets and objectives are met through strategic planning and budget management, drive business growth and profitability across EMEA by developing and implementing effective business strategies, and foster a positive and productive work environment. The role also requires maintaining high customer satisfaction and delivering quality, timely services. A track record in market development and sales activities, with strong strategic planning and customer service excellence, is preferred.

Responsibilities – Additional

  • Strategic Planning: develop and implement regional business strategy, set objectives, and create action plans to achieve goals
  • Revenue Growth and Profitability: drive revenue and profitability by identifying opportunities, expanding the customer base, and increasing sales volume
  • Market Analysis: perform regular market analysis to understand competition, customer needs, and trends
  • Pricing Strategy: ensure market-based pricing that optimizes profitability
  • Sales Management: oversee inside and outside sales activities and drive performance
  • Customer Relationship Management: build and maintain relationships with key customers
  • Performance Monitoring: track regional performance using KPIs
  • Foster a culture of world-class customer service aligned with Nikkiso values (Interaction, Dependability, Innovation, Safety)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field
  • MBA and specialized coursework in marketing or finance are advantageous

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Experience in sales and operations; turnkey execution experience preferred
  • Proven track record in sales development, key account management, and project selling with city gas distribution companies in EMEA
  • Experience in selling EPC projects for natural gas projects (CNG, LNG stations, regasification)
  • Experience developing a business plan and leading a team to achieve goals
  • Experience driving improvements in cost, quality, and profitability
  • Comprehensive understanding of business development strategies; EPC experience preferred
  • Strong ability to build relationships and work in a multi-cultural environment; overseas team management a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems; BI tools desirable
  • Willingness to travel as needed
