Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Atmen is a Munich-based RegTech startup revolutionising green certification. Our SaaS platform helps energy‑intensive industries (fuels, chemicals, materials) automate compliance and certification—cutting down time by up to 90%.

We replace today's manual, costly, and unpredictable certification processes with continuous, technology‑driven verification. Our mission? Making sustainable production simple, scalable, and cost‑effective.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy full‑stack software solutions, ensuring high‑quality, maintainable code.
• Drive development from ideation to production, working closely with designers, engineers, and product managers.
• Lead by example by writing clean, testable code and supporting engineering best practices.
• Own features end‑to‑end—from architecture to implementation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability to ensure our platform meets enterprise‑grade standards.
• Mentor and collaborate with team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Requirements (Must‑haves)

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, preferably in full‑stack roles.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Strong software engineering principles: clean code, modularity, testing, and maintainability.
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable, distributed systems.
• Self‑motivated and able to navigate a fast‑changing startup environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice‑to‑Haves

• Experience with Test‑Driven Development (TDD) and end‑to‑end testing.
• Exposure to AI/ML or GenAI integrations.
• Related domain expertise: energy, certification, sustainability, or regulated industries.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced startup environment.

• Willingness to regularly work in our office in Munich, Germany
