We are looking for a passionate and driven individual to pack our events diary with first-class meeting space. As a Director Meetings & Events Convention Sales, you will join a team that is passionate about delivering exceptional service and creating memorable moments for our guests.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the smooth running of the meeting & events department, delivering the highest levels of client and guest experience.
• Working proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, with a positive and timely response to guest enquiries and problem resolution.
• Developing and implementing plans to achieve meeting & events initiatives and hotel targets.
• Leading and managing the meeting & events team, fostering a culture of growth, development, and performance.
• Preparing and managing the departmental budget, controlling costs and inventory, and attaining productivity and performance levels.
• Building and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
• Establishing and delivering effective programs to advance sales and profitability.
• Ensuring adherence to legislation, due diligence requirements, and best practice activities.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in meeting & events with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style.
• Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry.
• Ability to find creative solutions and offer advice and recommendations.
• Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time, and energy.
• Experienced in using IT systems on various platforms.
• Strong communication skills.
