Organization & Role
The Teradyne Regensburg Software Development team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, technically driven Software Engineer to focus on the development of software solutions for special purpose equipment.
Responsibilities
You will develop new software solutions for equipment handling and test systems. This includes new PLC components and PC software components e.g. interfaces for components like robots, databases and so on.
Tasks
- You will program new PLC components and further develop and improve our PLC Framework for equipment handlings solutions together with a team of high experienced experts
- You will join new equipment developments together with electrical and mechanical designers and system experts and represent the software development in the project
- Within the projects you will actively decide for feasible implementation ideas and pro-actively evaluate ideas from the team to implement in our PLC Framework
- Collaborate closely with system experts for equipment commissioning
- Implement tooling and processes to increase our PLC framework development productivity
- You will be responsible to evaluate new technologies and solutions to ensure state of the art technologies for our new equipment and pro-actively work out new software components
- You will document your developments and improvements of the software
Basic Qualifications & Skills

- Technical certification or associate degree in electronics or bachelor of electronics or a related field is preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience in PLC software development
- Experience in PLC programming with Beckhoff TwinCat , experience with B&R PLC would be a plus
- Proven experience with programming language C#
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
- Willing to learn and improve your skills

Nice to Have
- Experience in robotics would be a plus
- Experience working with issue tracking systems (i.e. JIRA)
- Experience working with software version management tools(i.e.SVN, Git)
