We are expanding our IT Infrastructure Services team and looking for a Tower Manager – IT Infrastructure Core Applications. In this role, you will report directly to the Team Lead IT Infrastructure Services and take ownership of the design and management of our group-wide infrastructure core applications. You will define and maintain technology standards aligned with industry best practices, manage the technology roadmap, and propose innovative solutions that support Intersnack’s business strategy. In addition, you will play a key role in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and continuous service improvement to meet our evolving business needs.
As a subject matter expert, you will ensure service governance, compliance, and security across our infrastructure core applications, including Active Directory/Entra ID, file sharing and global printing, DNS, SMTP, PKI certificate management, and backup systems. You will support internal teams across various Intersnack locations and work closely with external contractors and third‑party service providers to ensure consistent and high‑quality service delivery.

How you will spend your time as our next Tower Manager – IT Infrastructure Core Applications
- Manage the portfolio, lifecycle, and service delivery of infrastructure core applications, ensuring performance, availability, and business continuity
- Develop and maintain technology standards and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with IT governance frameworks (ITIL, ISO 27001/2, GDPR) and industry best practices
- Identify and implement scalable, secure IT solutions that enhance operations and support Intersnack’s digital transformation goals
- Ensure life cycle management and disaster recovery strategies, including automated backups of application data and configurations
- Oversee vendor and third‑party service providers to ensure strong service delivery and contract performance
- Monitor and report on service metrics, track performance against SLAs, and identify areas for improvement
- Resolve complex technical incidents in collaboration with partners and manage change processes to minimise operational risk
What We Expect Of You
- Extensive professional background in IT with proven expertise in IT service management, infrastructure operations, and leadership
- Hands‑on experience managing Active Directory in hybrid environments (On‑Prem and Entra ID); familiarity with Adaxes is a plus
- Strong knowledge of email infrastructure (SMTP), PKI certificate management, file sharing, and secure printing solutions (vendor‑agnostic)
- Experience with DNS (internal AD‑based and external) system patching and core application upgrades
- Solid understanding of ITIL‑based service management and experience supporting global IT operations
- Analytical and problem‑solving mindset, with experience in capacity planning and service optimisation
- Excellent communication skills and a service‑orientated approach to stakeholder and vendor engagement
- Familiarity with vendor management, contract tracking, and cost awareness
- Ability to work effectively in a complex collaborative, matrix environment with virtual teams in a multi‑cultural and geographically diverse environment
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, with the capacity for mature judgment in challenging situations
- Strong command of spoken and written English is essential; knowledge of German is a plus
Travel of up to 20% may be required, for example, to our headquarters in Düsseldorf or other key Intersnack locations.
