Overview

As a People Experience & Payroll Manager (m/w/d) you will be part of our global People & Culture team at Unzer. In this role you take central responsibility for the entire Employee Life Cycle and ensure that our employees experience a smooth, respectful and enriching journey from day one. Depending on experience and qualification, you may independently own complex topics or develop further in close collaboration with experienced colleagues.

You will work with colleagues in the People & Culture team on a variety of projects with the goal of continuously improving the employee experience and sustainably advancing our People processes.

Responsibilities

  • People Experience – You are there for our employees
  • First point of contact for all personnel-related concerns at the Frankfurt location with an open ear and solution-oriented mindset
  • Collaborate with our works council and accompany employees-related measures in compliance with legal requirements
  • Maintain and manage personnel data in Personio and actively contribute to the development of our People processes
  • Ensure smooth on- and offboarding, manage contracts and support organizational changes
  • Contribute to exciting projects; depending on experience, you may take partial responsibility or lead projects independently
  • Payroll – Ensure clarity and reliability
  • Prepare monthly payroll for 550 employees and coordinate smoothly with our external payroll provider
  • Advise employees on complex questions around payroll, social security and tax law – clearly and competently
  • Handle payroll tax and social security inquiries together with our payroll provider
  • Handle reporting and certificates and support the creation of reports

Qualifications

  • Completed commercial apprenticeship or studies with a HR focus – or a comparable qualification
  • Relevant professional experience in HR, ideally in a dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of payroll tax and social security law and ideally experience collaborating with external payroll providers
  • Experience working with works councils and a good sense for labour law topics
  • Proficient use of Personio or comparable HR systems
  • Structured work style, clear communication and empathy with teamwork
  • Very good German and English language skills in spoken and written form
