Senior Software Engineer

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a highly skilled software engineer to join our team. We focus on solving complex customer problems through innovative technical solutions. Our engineers develop next-generation technologies that support decision-making and impact national defense. We value versatility, leadership, and enthusiasm for tackling new challenges in areas such as information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and UI design.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, including analytics, algorithms, large data manipulation, real-time systems, and business management information systems, based on documented requirements.
• Work independently or as part of a team, review and test software components, document test results, and resolve software issues.
• Apply appropriate software development methodologies and contribute to system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, reuse, and integration of COTS/GOTS products.

Experience with some or all of the following:

• Programming languages: Java, C#, C++, JavaScript, Python, Scala, Ruby, Go
• IDEs: Eclipse, NetBeans, IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, Visual Studio, VS Code
• Operating systems: Windows, Unix, Linux, macOS
• Tools: Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence), GitHub, ServiceNow
• Frameworks: Spring, Angular, Bootstrap
• Databases: Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB
• Build tools: Maven, Jenkins
• Containers: Docker, Kubernetes
• Configuration management: Git, SVN, CVS
• Cloud providers: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

Requirements:

• Minimum 14 years of experience as a software engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience (additional 4 years of experience can substitute for a degree).
• TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph security clearance is mandatory.
