Professorship Economics (W2) (m/f/d) – University of Cologne, Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences (WiSo-Faculty).
The University of Cologne is one of the oldest and largest universities in Germany, with six faculties and an internationally outstanding research profile. The WiSo-Faculty is consistently top-ranked in research and teaching. The professorship is part of the Cluster of Excellence ECONtribute: Markets & Public Policy, jointly run by the Universities of Cologne and Bonn and funded by the DFG.
The professorship (W2, tenured) contributes to the overall research agenda of the ECONtribute Cluster and the WiSo-Faculty, and participates in the management of the Cluster and the academic administration of the WiSo-Faculty. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching excellence in the WiSo-Faculty’s programs and engage in related activities within the Cluster.
We invite applications from outstanding scholars in economics from all fields, including applied, quantitative, public, or international economics. Candidates should have a track record of outstanding publications in economics and a strong commitment to research excellence. The research profile should align with the ECONtribute Cluster of Excellence. Ideally, candidates also have demonstrated the ability to offer high-quality teaching in economics at different levels.

The teaching load is typically nine semester hours per week (two 90-minute courses per semester).
