Data Scientist | Greenfield AI Platform | FMCG | Azure, Databricks, SQL | Dortmund (Hybrid)

AI Futures have been retained to find a Data Scientist for a €3 billion revenue FMCG company building a greenfield AI and data platform on Azure. The organisation is investing heavily in advanced analytics and AI to unlock customer value, optimise operations, and accelerate digital transformation.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on data science, machine learning, and Generative AI applications across large-scale customer and business datasets.

Hybrid: 2 days per week onsite in Dortmund

Package: Up to €100k total package

The Role

• Build and deploy machine learning models that drive measurable value from customer, marketing, and operational data.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and analytics workflows using Azure and Databricks.
• Apply Python and SQL to transform, analyse, and model complex data sources.
• Collaborate with business teams to identify and prioritise high-impact use cases in sales, supply chain, and customer engagement.
• Shape the greenfield data platform, defining standards, governance, and best practices.
• Explore and prototype Generative AI solutions, including RAG and document understanding models, to enhance decision intelligence.

The Candidate

• 2+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Practical experience with Azure Cloud and Databricks.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, feature engineering, and model deployment.
• Interest or experience in GenAI applications within business environments.
• Languages: German required (English a plus).
