We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Engagement Lead to join Norgine in our DACH Region supporting within Global Rare Diseases.

The person holding this position will report to Senior Director - Patient Engagement and be a member of the Global Medical Affairs team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the cross-functional development and execution of DACH Patient Engagement strategies and activities.
  • Manage key patient group and community relationships, develop collaborative activities and issue management.
  • Maintain regular engagement with regional, country, and cross-functional colleagues and manage cascade and implementation of key programmes
  • Provide coaching and expertise to regional/market colleagues in developing relationships with external stakeholders
  • Ensure appropriate pull-through of individual patient insights, perspectives and testimonials for internal and external opportunities including leadership meetings, launches, and external stakeholder engagements
  • Support the creation of appropriate internal resources to build the capabilities of Norgine’s leaders to appropriately engage in quality public dialogue, in line with medical advancements and innovation
  • Support the development and refinement of Norgine’s PAG-relevant standard-operating-procedures and processes.
  • Strong planning and systematic thinking, including project management, budgeting and management of grants
  • Must have several years of experience in patient engagement, medical affairs or public affairs working with patient groups in (bio)pharma industry.
  • A proven track record in working on long-term patient engagement projects that build collective support and engagement with patient groups around patient education and engagement, capacity-building and policy-shaping efforts
  • Ability to work with global, regional and local level PAGs, in politically and culturally diverse areas, across all aspects of the patient experience
  • Politically astute, with an ability to horizon scan for opportunities and challenges
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing abilities as well as excellent written skills, and problem solving – ability to resolve conflict and deal with a wide range of complex problems independently
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to influence and lead internally and externally within highly matrixed organizations including identifying and partnering with key decision makers to identify synergies and shared priorities
  • Biopharmaceutical industry and/or healthcare industry experience required
  • German as a first language / fluent (in addition to English)
