Hire a Senior System Engineer (Development) – Power Platform Solution Developer for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar. Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of relevant oil and gas industry experience in a similar role. Fluency in English is essential.
- Design, develop, and deploy custom business applications using Power Apps to meet diverse departmental needs.
- Build automated workflows with Power Automate to improve process efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
- Create reports and dashboards using Power BI to deliver actionable insights and data visualization.
- Utilize Dataverse and other databases to securely store and manage application data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand pain points, and define success metrics.
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices and security standards.
- Document solutions thoroughly, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials.
- Provide ongoing support and training to users on developed solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest Power Platform features and functionalities.
- Identify opportunities to leverage the Power Platform for further process improvements and innovations.
- Analyze business needs to recommend cost-effective license configurations for solutions.
- Advise stakeholders on licensing issues and strategies for optimizing license utilization.
- Manage licenses effectively and monitor usage patterns.
- Design user-centric interfaces for Power Apps, ensuring intuitive navigation and accessibility across devices.
- Conduct user testing and gather feedback to refine application usability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems.
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications are advantageous.
- At least 8 years of experience, including a minimum of 3 years developing solutions with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, databases).
- Experience in designing user-friendly applications and understanding data modeling and business process automation.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Passion for learning emerging technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, and Office 365 is a plus.
- Knowledge of Power Platform licensing models and cost management strategies.
- Experience in database design and writing efficient queries.
