GEMS Wellington School Qatar in Doha is seeking an outstanding Year 1 Class Teacher to join our Primary team on a full-time maternity cover contract from January 2027 to July 2027. The successful candidate will be passionate about early primary education and experienced with the UK National Curriculum.

You will contribute to an inclusive learning environment, collaborate with a supportive team, and participate in high-quality professional development within the GEMS Education network.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching KS1, preferably Year 1.
• UK training and recognised teaching qualification required.

GEMS Wellington School Qatar (WSQ) is seeking an outstanding and enthusiastic Year 1 Class Teacher to join our Primary team on a full-time maternity cover contract from January 2027 to July 2027.

The successful candidate will be a passionate and dedicated practitioner with a strong understanding of early primary education and experience teaching within the UK National Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create an engaging, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.

Experience Required:

• Has experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 1.

Education Qualifications:

• UK trained.
• Recognised teaching qualification.

Skills Required:

• Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and high expectations for all learners.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Works effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
