Job summary

GEMS American Academy Qatar in Doha is seeking an outstanding Kindergarten (Lower School) Teacher to join our vibrant school from November 2026. The successful candidate will inspire a love of early years learning and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the American curriculum.

We welcome educators who understand the distinct approach to teaching, learning, and assessment in the American system and who will collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum, assessment, and student wellbeing

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the American curriculum and school expectations.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports all learners.
• Plan, assess, and monitor student progress, using data to inform teaching and raise achievement.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students, including English language learners.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
• Integrate technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, departmental development, and collaborative professional practice.
• Participate fully in the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities, school events, and ongoing professional development.
• Uphold the values and high standards of GEMS Education at all times.
