GEMS Wellington School Qatar is seeking an outstanding Year 1 Class Teacher for a full-time maternity-cover contract from January 2027 to July 2027. The successful candidate will be a passionate practitioner with strong understanding of early primary education and experience delivering the UK National Curriculum.

Applicants should be UK trained with a recognised teaching qualification and degree, possess excellent classroom practice, safeguarding commitment, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• UK-trained with recognised teaching qualification and degree.
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 1 preferred).
• Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and high expectations for all learners.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Works well in a collaborative and supportive team.

Responsabilités

• Teach Year 1 under the UK National Curriculum.
• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons for early primary.
• Assess and monitor progress, adapting to diverse learners.
• Maintain safeguarding procedures and create a safe learning environment.
