Job summary

Mondrian Doha is seeking a courteous Valet/Concierge to warmly welcome guests, assist with luggage and parking, and act as the hotel ambassador at the main entrance.

You will greet guests, coordinate with doorman and bell staff, and ensure VIPs receive personal, exclusive service through attentive vehicle handling and detailed liaison with hotel teams.

Qualifications

• A Valid Qatar Drivers licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide our guests with an exceptional arrival and departure experience that makes them feel welcome.
• Actively welcome and greet guests in a courteous manner, open doors
• Act as the Ambassador of the hotel
• Engages the guest to provide superior guest service.
• Inform guests with savvy knowledge of the hotel, its services, the city, and local 'happenings'
• Be fully aware of what functions are going on in the hotel
• Memorize number plate numbers of our VIP clients and also facial recognition of our frequent guests to ensure they have personal and exclusive service.
• Working with the Doorman, Bell Captain and Bellmen to ensure that luggage is handled carefully, accurately and quickly.
• Stand in front of the hotel main entrance, obtain keys from drivers, and help with any items or luggage.
• Supervise the parking and retrieval of cars.
• Ensure when the car owner returns, valets run to retrieve the car and help them get in their car.
• Cross check of luggage inside vehicles for departure.
• Ensure all valet equipment (including poles, valet tags) and other supplies are working properly and stocked.
• Coordinate with key room attendants and other staffs to handle the requests in a proper manner.
• Assist Chief Concierge in creating weekly schedules for extra events.
• Frequently communicates with customers and staff.
• Manage parking area (poles, traffic lights and people) ensuring they are all set and clean.
• Give and receive valet tickets
• Safety and securely control guests vehicle keys
• Conduct vehicle key audit with the valet team at the end of each shift.
• Conduct safety checks on parked vehicles
• Maintains the cleanliness of the front of the hotel.
• Check all valet staff are on duty and have signed the attendance sheet.
• Check all valet attendance grooming.
• Ensure housekeeping provides uniform on time.
• Assist Chief Concierge with weekly headcounts and attendance sheets reviews.
