Job summary

Qatar Airways Group is seeking an experienced Transport Team Leader to conduct VR investigations, organize rosters, and oversee transport operations and safety records at Doha. The candidate should have 2+ years' related experience or a bachelor's degree, strong English, and a valid HGV license. Great teamwork and flexibility are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time dispatch of allocated flights according to airline specs and safety standards.
• Check and safeguard issued Tablet/Radio/PPE and probes.
• Conduct VR investigations for the Transport Department.
• Implement management instructions including aircraft delivery and food safety compliance.
• Manage loading and offloading of all flight types as required.
• Ensure ramp safety and proper marshalling of HL on the airside.
• Oversee allocation and performance of Equipment Operators and drivers.
• Suggest training programs for new and existing staff with timely feedback.

Description

As a transport team leader you will be responsible to conduct all Voyage Report (VR) investigations of the Transport department, and to organize all vacation and overtime daily requirements and reporting. Collates the Monthly KPI reporting pack. Reviews On Time Performance (OTP) data. Responsible for putting together overall roster of the Transport department under the guidance of the Duty Supervisors. Involved in rostering administration, Vehicle Maintenance management and records, Ramp Safety Training records. Responsible to deliver the Catering Services as per the Customer Specifications and in accordance with Safe Regulations set forth b the Air ort Authorities.

Accountabilities

• Ensures on-time dispatching of allocated flights as per the Airline Specifications/GLP & Food Safety Standard and as per the Airport Safety Regulations/Standard.
• Responsible for checking and safe guarding of issued Tablet/Radio/Personal Protective Equipment & ProbeGun.
• Conducts VR investigations for the Transport Department.
• Responsible for implementation of management instructions including aircraft delivery and handling, food safety, quality control and security.
• Responsible for loading and offloading of all flights including Complex, Ultra-Long Haul (ULH), VIP, Charters, Private and other ad hoc operations, as and when required.
• Ensures adherence to Ramp Safety and Marshalling of HL while performing duties Airside.
• Responsible to manage the allocation and performance of Equipment Operators and other drivers within Service Delivery department.
• Suggests Training programs for all new and existing staff and provides timely feedback.

Qualification

High School Qualification with minimum 2 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with minimum 1 years of job-related experience.
