Job summary

Qatar Duty Free is seeking a Food and Beverage Supervisor to support the Management Team in running the restaurant to high standards and an exceptional guest experience. The role requires leading a team, ensuring hygiene, safety, and accurate cash handling while promoting menu knowledge and upselling opportunities.

The candidate should have at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant, with HACCP/FSSC experience, familiarity with Micros or other POS software, stock control

Qualifications

• Should have at least High School qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years of job-related experience.
• Has proven records for effectively supervising restaurant operations.
• Must have experience in HACCP or FSSC.
• Experience in Micros / other softwares for POS is essential.
• Knowledge about stock control & wastage is mandatory.
• Knowledge of international food & beverage is important.
• Good Computer knowledge in Microsoft Officer tools (Word, Excel & Outlook etc.)
• Familiar with KPIs
• Should have excellent written & verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
• Preferably with fine dining experience
• Ideally with experience in supervising a team of at least 10 people.

Responsibilities

• Maintain & lead by example to ensure the team demonstrate highest standards of grooming by adhering to the Company’s Dress Code Policy.
• Ensure that the assigned area of responsibility reflects highest standards of hygiene & maintenance, by adhering to the Company Food safety, Health & safety procedures, but also by reporting and following up on maintenance issues.
• Provide high level of engagement with the guest by remaining attentive throughout their visit, and ensure that the staff provides a prompt and efficient service to maintain a high standard of customer service.
• Follow the cash handling procedures and ensure the team is trained on billing and processes to avoid cash variances.
• Have a full and comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant menu and share with the team to ensure customers are advised correctly about the specialties offered in the outlet.
• Identify opportunities for improving customer service & communicate to the Restaurant Management Team to enhance the brand image.
• Monitor the service provided against business standards in conjunction with the line manager, by recording and maintaining customer feedback to implement action plans accordingly.
• Monitor daily staff coverage according to trade levels to ensure that the assigned area is efficiently and effectively resourced.
• Monitor daily product quality and availability, and report any issue to the supplying department.
• Identify & create sales activity for the team through the implementation of upselling programs and incentives to support the Management on achieving.
• Monitor all daily wastage and breakage and ensure staff are recording it correctly for data accuracy.
