Job summary

Archon Global in Qatar is seeking an experienced Engineer Transformer Services to join our Project Management team. The successful candidate will lead field activities, supervise technicians, perform transformer testing, fault diagnosis, and oil processing in substation and electrical maintenance environments.

You will ensure safety, review site conditions, manage equipment, and coordinate with clients and internal teams on project progress.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of power and distribution transformers.
• Perform transformer testing, analysis, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Handle maintenance and troubleshooting of OLTC and Off-Load Tap Changers.
• Lead and train field technicians in transformer maintenance and service activities.
• Operate and supervise transformer oil processing, oil filtration, and oil flushing equipment.
• Supervise assembly, dismantling, inspection, and maintenance of transformers and associated accessories.
• Execute field service activities in substation and electrical maintenance environments.
• Supervise technicians and contractors to ensure technical quality, productivity, and safety compliance.
• Review job scope, drawings, site conditions, tools, consumables, spare parts, and manpower requirements.
• Prepare and verify service reports, testing records, inspection findings, and maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams regarding project progress, safety, technical observations, and site activities.
• Ensure the safe operation and proper maintenance of testing instruments, tools, and oil handling equipment.
• Ensure compliance with approved procedures, method statements, drawings, project requirements, and safety standards.
