Job summary

BAE Systems in Qatar is seeking a Tool Store Technician to manage the acceptance, storage, release and disposal of tools in the central store, ensuring accurate identification and registration of each item.

You will inspect deliveries, verify accompanying documentation, track tool condition, manage tallies and labels, coordinate calibration, and update the inventory system while notifying supervisors when limits are exceeded.

Qualifications

• General tooling knowledge and competency within own technical area.
• Awareness of how the service integrates with maintenance users to achieve service levels.
• Understanding of continuous improvement and its application.
• Ability to recognise personal limitations and skill boundaries.
• Knowledge of tool control, calibration and stock management principles.

Responsibilities

• Accept, store, release and dispose of tools in the central store with proper identification and registration.
• Ensure tools/equipment are tracked, labelled and documented, including condition statements.
• Check incoming deliveries against orders and documentation; ensure packaging is undamaged.
• Coordinate timely inspection, servicing and calibration; notify leaders when results exceed limits.
• Remove surplus or unserviceable tools and update the tracking system accordingly.
