Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a full-time role focused on testing and commissioning of HVAC systems on construction projects. You will review drawings, prepare commissioning plans, and conduct pre-commissioning checks and functional tests, including BMS interfaces.

You will coordinate with consultants and site teams, document test results, and support handover and O&M documentation to ensure successful project completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in testing and commissioning on construction projects.
• Practical knowledge of HVAC equipment, chilled water systems, pumps, ventilation and controls.
• Ability to interpret drawings and coordinate with site teams and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Review approved drawings, specifications, equipment submittals and installation readiness for HVAC, chilled water, pumping and ventilation systems.
• Prepare commissioning plans, method statements and test procedures in line with project requirements.
• Conduct pre-commissioning checks and functional performance tests, including verification of controls and BMS interfaces.
• Coordinate testing, site inspections and consultant witnessing with contractors, TAB teams, controls specialists and equipment vendors; track deficiencies through rectification and retesting.
• Prepare commissioning reports, maintain test records and support final inspections and system handover.
