Detailed Job Description:

As a Telecom Technician at Candidzone, you will take direct responsibility for executing physical installations, system testing, comprehensive commissioning, and corrective troubleshooting of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) and telecommunication systems. Your daily responsibilities will involve deploying CCTV surveillance arrays, access control panels, fire and gas detection loops, and industrial communication links across complex engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) job sites. Operating primarily in demanding industrial and oil & gas environments—with Ras Laffan experience being a distinct advantage—you will collaborate closely with project engineers, safety officers, and technical teams to ensure strict adherence to engineering drawings, quality standards, and HSE protocols. Furthermore, you will perform routine maintenance, diagnose wiring faults, and maintain meticulous As-Built documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of ELV systems, CCTV networks, and access control hardware.

• Troubleshoot signal loss, hardware malfunctions, wiring discrepancies, and integration failures across ELV networks.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs, test reports, and handover documentation for project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or ITI certification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on professional field experience in telecommunications, ELV, or industrial security systems.
• Proven technical expertise in CCTV, Access Control, Fire & Gas systems, and structured cabling installation.
• Practical experience working within Oil & Gas, industrial manufacturing, or large-scale EPC project environments.
• Solid understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and testing instrumentation (multimeters, OTDR, cable testers).
• Must currently be based in Qatar with a valid Qatar ID (QID) for immediate deployment.
• Excellent physical stamina, situational awareness, and adherence to rigorous industrial safety standards.
• Strong troubleshooting aptitude and effective team communication skills in multicultural contractor settings.

Nice-to-Have-Skills:

• Prior project experience working in Ras Laffan Industrial City or major Qatari energy infrastructure sites.
• Additional certifications in fire alarm systems commissioning or vendor-specific security platforms (e.g., Milestone, Hikvision, Honeywell).
• Valid Qatar driving license.
• Familiarity with fiber optic splicing and testing procedures.
• First Aid and BOSIET/HUET offshore safety certifications.
