Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain the fleet of Passenger Screening System equipment and applications across HIA and DIA.
• Work with the business to translate operational needs into technical requirements.
• Lead technical efforts to support screening projects and bridge supplier and project management teams.
• Research emerging trends and propose applications to improve security and passenger experience.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for the Passenger Screening System.
• Ensure controls are deployed and managed securely.
• Govern the system architecture across business units in line with requirements.
• Review requirements and make recommendations aligned with frameworks.
• Evaluate impact of major design options for implementations.
• Develop scalable, resilient solutions addressing business needs.
• Identify new regulations (ECAC, TSA, QCAA) and ensure alignment.

About the role:

This role serves as the technical authority for Passenger Screening Systems, driving system reliability, security, and regulatory compliance across HIA and DIA. It bridges business, suppliers, and project teams to deliver innovative, resilient, and future-ready screening solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the maintenance of the fleet of Passenger Screening System equipment and applications across HIA and DIA.
• Responsible to work directly with the business to understand operational needs and translate it into technical requirements.
• Work as technical lead to support passenger screening projects and bridge the gap between supplier and project management team.
• Responsible for research on emerging industry trends and technologies in passenger screening domain and to recommend proposals for their application at MATAR to achieve tangible benefits, improve passenger experience and safeguard company’s information assets and IT infrastructure.
• Responsible for identifying all the risks related to Passenger Screening System and work out a mitigation plan for the same.
• Ensure adequate controls related to passenger screening system established, deployed and managed in a secure environment.
• Support the governance of Passenger Screening System architecture across assigned business units, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external and internal customers/ suppliers.
• Review functional and non-functional requirements and make recommendations in-line with established frameworks.
• Independently evaluate and undertake impact analysis on major solution design options for Passenger Screening System implementations.
• Responsible to built scalable, resilient and sustainable solutions to address business requirements.
• Responsible to identify new regulations (viz. ECAC, TSA, QCAA etc.) and ensure that the solutions and equipment are aligned with those regulations.

About you:

Minimum 7+ years of experience in Passenger Screening System (X-Ray, CT Machines, Body Scanners, Explosive Trace Detectors, Bottle Liquid Scanner etc.) Bachelor's degree or equivalent Experience in working directly with multiple screening equipment manufacturers and evaluation of new technologies. Experience in implementation and maintenance of Passenger Screening System in a medium to large airport/ aviation environment. Awareness about the regulatory compliances and certifications in aviation industry.
