Job summary

SAUR is seeking a Technical & Asset Manager for Doha, Qatar to lead Asset Management, GIS, Handover/Takeover, IT & OT, Innovation and Technical Studies for water and wastewater infrastructure.

The role requires steering multidisciplinary teams, ensuring reliability and digitalization, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and stakeholder collaboration. A Bachelor's degree and 10–15 years’ experience in asset management or utilities are preferred, with fluency in English and Arabic a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental or related field); Master's degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in asset management, infrastructure operations, or utilities (water/wastewater sector preferred).
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams across engineering, maintenance, GIS, IT/OT, and technical projects.
• Strong knowledge of Asset Management principles, lifecycle planning, reliability engineering (RCM, FMECA, RCA), and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Good understanding of GIS systems and spatial asset management.
• Experience in commissioning, handover/takeover of infrastructure assets, and technical documentation management.
• Fluent in English. Arabic fluency is an advantage

• GIS: manage sewer, stormwater, groundwater and TSE data, mapping, maintenance support.
• Handover/Takeover: readiness of new facilities, commissioning, documentation, training, spare parts, HSE prep.
• IT & OT: IT infra, cybersecurity, SCADA, PLC/RTU, automation, telemetry.
• Innovation: digital transformation, smart asset management, predictive maintenance, AI, remote monitoring.
• Technical Studies: engineering studies, improvement proposals, offers, defect resolution for new facilities.
• Leadership: lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, contractors, surveyors, SAUR Group resources.

• Lead six key functions covering Asset Management, GIS, Handover/Takeover, IT & OT, Innovation, and Technical Studies, ensuring the reliability, performance, digitalization, and continuous improvement of water and wastewater infrastructure.
