Associated Engineering Trading & Contracting W.l.l (aetc) is seeking an experienced Electrical Testing & Commissioning Engineer for LV/MV switchgear projects in Qatar. You will execute testing, pre-commissioning, functional verification, energization, and handover, while coordinating with clients and site teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, at least 5 years' hands-on experience with protection relays and commissioning procedures, and KM/SWGR and Siemens

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on LV & MV switchgear testing and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of protection relays and testing procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and report-writing skills.

Responsabilidades

• Execute testing, pre-commissioning, functional verification, energization, and handover of LV/MV switchgear, protection relays, control circuits, metering, and interlocks.
• Review technical drawings, schematics, test procedures, and commissioning documentation. Prepare accurate test reports, punch lists, and handover records.
• Troubleshoot on-site issues and implement corrective solutions.
• Adhere to LMRA, PTW protocols, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with clients, site teams, and project managers throughout project execution.

Role & responsibilities

• Testing & Commissioning: Execute testing, pre-commissioning, functional verification, energization, and handover of LV/MV Switchgear, protection relays, control circuits, metering, and interlocks.
• Documentation & Review: Review technical drawings, schematics, test procedures, and commissioning documentation. Prepare accurate test reports, punch lists, and handover records.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose technical issues on-site and implement swift, corrective solutions.
• Safety & Quality: Strictly adhere to safety standards, LMRA, PTW protocols, and quality standards.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate closely with clients, site teams, and project managers throughout project execution.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in LV & MV switchgear testing and commissioning.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of protection relays, secondary injection testing, and standard commissioning procedures.
• Communication: Excellent verbal/written communication and report-writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Kahramaa (KM) Approved SWGR Testing & Commissioning Engineer status.
• Proven experience with Siemens switchgear and protection systems.
• Hands-on experience within KM Distribution Substations and live network project
