Job summary

Teyseer Services Company W.L.L. in Qatar seeks an experienced supervisor for high‑voltage electrical installations, inspections and maintenance of RMUs, HV switchgear, transformers and substations.

You will oversee testing, commissioning and fault diagnosis, ensuring safe, reliable power distribution while obeying PTW, LOTO and HSE standards. Qualified candidates have a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years in HV systems and hands‑on RMU experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in HV electrical systems.
• Hands-on RMU experience preferred and knowledge of HV switchgear, transformers, substations, cable testing and fault diagnosis.
• Understanding of HV switching procedures, electrical isolation, PTW and LOTO.
• Experience in maintenance, testing and commissioning of RMUs and related equipment.
• Qatar utility or client authorization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of RMUs, HV switchgear, transformers, and related equipment.
• Coordinate HV switching, isolation, earthing and restoration according to procedures and limits.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshoot faults in HV systems.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, PTW, LOTO and HSE requirements.
• Review SLDs, electrical drawings, method statements and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, clients and utility reps.
• Monitor contractors and technicians to ensure quality and timely completion.
• Maintain inspection reports, maintenance logs, test certificates and equipment records.
• Ensure all activities comply with Qatar regulations and client procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise installation testing commissioning and maintenance of RMUs HV switchgear transformers and associated electrical equipment
• Coordinate HV switching isolation earthing and restoration activities in accordance with approved procedures and authorization limits
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshoot electrical faults
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards permit-to-work PTW lockout tagout LOTO and HSE requirements
• Review single-line diagrams electrical drawings method statements and risk assessments
• Coordinate with electrical engineers technicians clients and utility representatives
• Monitor contractors and technicians to ensure work quality and timely completion
• Maintain inspection reports maintenance logs test certificates and equipment records
• Ensure all activities comply with applicable Qatar regulations utility requirements and client procedures

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HV electrical systems, including hands‑on RMU experience.Practical knowledge of HV switchgear, transformers, substations, cable testing, and fault diagnosis.Knowledge of HV switching procedures, electrical isolation, earthing, PTW, and LOTO.Experience in maintenance, testing, and commissioning of RMUs and associated equipment.Qatar utility or client-specific authorization is an advantage.
