Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering is seeking a Sustainability & Climate Specialist to help develop and strengthen ESG reporting, climate disclosures, and GHG accounting in line with IFRS S1/S2 and ISSB standards.

The role includes climate risk assessments, data validation, and coordination with multiple departments to ensure accurate sustainability reporting. A strong background in regulatory requirements and reporting tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
• 8–10 years of professional experience in sustainability reporting, ESG management, climate disclosures, or corporate sustainability.
• Experience supporting listed companies with IFRS S1/S2 and ISSB-aligned disclosures.
• Strong experience in GHG accounting – Scope 1, 2 and 3.
• Proven experience in physical and transition climate risk assessments.
• Working knowledge of QFMA disclosure requirements and Qatar's regulatory environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sustainability and ESG reports per reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 / ISSB-aligned disclosures.
• Develop, validate, and implement GHG reporting protocols and methodologies.
• Conduct climate risk assessments (physical and transition).
• Identify climate-related risks and opportunities and integrate into reporting.
• Support climate scenario analysis, data collection, validation, calculations, and documentation.
• Review ESG data from departments for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Coordinate with internal departments to obtain sustainability, environmental, operational, and financial information for reporting.
• Prepare presentations, dashboards, management reports, disclosure documents, and supporting documentation.
• Establish sustainability KPIs, monitoring mechanisms, and reporting processes.
• Maintain audit trails for sustainability and climate information.
• Provide technical guidance on ESG disclosures, GHG emissions, and sustainability reporting.
• Perform assignments independently while following timelines.

Requirements

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  
• Minimum 8–10 years of professional experience in sustainability reporting, ESG management, climate disclosures, or corporate sustainability.
  
• Demonstrated experience supporting listed companies with IFRS S1/S2 and ISSB-aligned disclosures.
  
• Strong experience in GHG accounting – Scope 1, 2 and 3.
  
• Proven experience in physical and transition climate risk assessments.
  
• Working knowledge of QFMA disclosure requirements and Qatar's regulatory environment is preferred.
  

Preferred Certifications:

• IFRS FSA Credential – Level 2 / IFRS or ISSB Sustainability Certification.
  
• GRI Certified Sustainability Professional – preferred.
  
• ISO 14064 Lead Practitioner – advantage.
  
• Relevant certification or practical expertise in GHG Protocol reporting, validation and implementation.
