Job summary

Sustainability & Climate Specialist in Doha leads ESG reporting and climate disclosures. You will coordinate data from multiple departments, develop GHG protocols, and prepare IFRS S1/S2 and ISSB-aligned disclosures. Advanced Excel and data visualization skills are essential.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years in sustainability reporting, strong GHG expertise, and familiarity with Qatar regulations. The role focuses on climate risk assessment and proactive reporting workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 8–10 years of professional experience in sustainability reporting, ESG management, climate disclosures, or corporate sustainability.
• Experience supporting listed companies with IFRS S1/S2 and ISSB-aligned disclosures.
• Strong knowledge of GHG accounting – Scope 1, 2 and 3.
• Familiarity with QFMA disclosure requirements and Qatar regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation and development of sustainability and ESG reports per standards.
• Prepare IFRS S1/S2 and ISSB-aligned disclosures.
• Develop and validate GHG reporting protocols.
• Conduct climate risk assessments (physical and transition).
• Coordinate with departments to collect data for reporting.
• Create presentations, dashboards, and disclosure documents.

Job description

We are seeking for a Sustainability & Climate Specialistwho will support the organization in developing and strengthening itssustainability, ESG, climate disclosure, GHG reporting, and climate riskmanagement practices. The role will contribute to regulatory and internationalsustainability reporting requirements, including IFRS S1/S2 and ISSB-aligneddisclosures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supportthe preparation and development of sustainability and ESG reports in linewith recognized reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepareand support IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 / ISSB-aligned sustainability andclimate-related disclosures.
• Develop,validate, and support implementation of GHG reporting protocols andmethodologies.
• Conduct climate risk assessments, including physical and transition climaterisks.
• Identifyclimate-related risks and opportunities and support their integration intobusiness and sustainability reporting.
• Supportclimate-related scenario analysis, data collection, validation,calculations, and documentation.
• Reviewsustainability and ESG data received from different departments and ensureaccuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Supportcompliance with QFMA disclosure requirements and relevant Qatarsustainability and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinatewith internal departments and key stakeholders to obtain sustainability,environmental, operational, and financial information required forreporting.
• Preparepresentations, dashboards, management reports, disclosure documents, andsupporting documentation.
• Assistin establishing sustainability KPIs, monitoring mechanisms, and reportingprocesses.
• Maintainproper documentation and audit trails for sustainability andclimate-related information.
• Providetechnical guidance on ESG, climate disclosures, GHG emissions, andsustainability reporting matters.
• Performassignments independently while following management/UDC directions andagreed timelines.

Requirements

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’sdegree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Finance,Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum8–10 years of professional experience in sustainability reporting, ESGmanagement, climate disclosures, or corporate sustainability.
• Demonstratedexperience supporting listed companies with IFRS S1/S2 andISSB-aligned disclosures.
• Strongexperience in GHG accounting – Scope 1, 2 and 3.
• Provenexperience in physical and transition climate risk assessments.
• Workingknowledge of QFMA disclosure requirements and Qatar's regulatoryenvironment is preferred.

Preferred Certifications:

• IFRSFSA Credential – Level 2 / IFRS or ISSB Sustainability Certification.
• GRICertified Sustainability Professional – preferred.
• ISO14064 Lead Practitioner – advantage.
• Relevantcertification or practical expertise in GHG Protocol reporting,validation and implementation.
