Job summary

Threshold LLC is seeking a Strategy Manager to advise government, semi-government and private sector clients on positioning and stakeholder engagement in Doha, Qatar. You will translate client objectives into actionable strategies across communications, media relations, and research.

The role combines strategic counsel with hands-on delivery, crisis management, and leadership of multi-workstream teams, with direct exposure to client leadership and national/international networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, International Relations, Journalism or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Solid experience in strategic communications, public affairs, or government relations.
• Demonstrated experience advising senior government or executive stakeholders on positioning or crisis matters.
• Proven track record managing media relationships and executing comms strategies with measurable outcomes.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and coordinating multi-workstream client accounts.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement communication strategies to strengthen client positioning and reputation.
• Develop media strategies and manage relationships with domestic and international outlets.
• Build and maintain networks with government, semi-government, and private sector stakeholders.
• Conduct in-depth market research to identify opportunities, trends, and risks and translate into actionable recommendations.
• Advise on crisis communication strategies and ensure timely, effective messaging.
• Draft speeches, talking points, press releases, and briefing notes aligned with client narratives.
• Lead and mentor team members, review deliverables for quality and strategic alignment.
• Manage client relationships and identify opportunities to expand scope of work.
